Bu araştırma ile Ardahan Üniversitesi, İnsani Bilimler ve Edebiyat Fakültesi, Coğrafya Anabilim Dalı’nda öğrenim gören öğrencilerin profillerini, sosyo-ekonomik durumlarını, aile yapılarını, eğitim süreçlerini ve coğrafya bölümünü tercih nedenlerine ilişkin görüşlerini ortaya koymak hedeflenmiştir. Buradan hareketle coğrafya bölümünü kazanan öğrencilerin profillerini ortaya koyarak, bölümün öğrenci kaynakları hakkında bilgi edinerek gelecek ile ilgili planlar ve geliştirmelere yönelik öneriler geliştirmektir
