Mammal (Mammalia) Fauna of Kapıdağ Peninsula

The number of studies on mammals of Kapıdag Peninsula is insufficent. The present study is based on mammalspecies collected and observed in Kapıdag Peninsula. Kapıdag Peninsula was visited as a total of 226 daysbetween 2001-2007. Field collections yielded 32 mammal species from 6 orders: Insectivora (5), Chiroptera (9),Lagomorpha (1), Rodentia (7), Carnivora (7), Artiodactyla (3). Of the species recorded in this study are rare forKapıdag Peninsula: Lynx lynx and Felis silvestris.
