Chronic Urinary Retention after Surgery for a Rare Case of Adult Presacral Teratoma

Background:Presacral teratomas areusually observed in thefirsttwo decades of lifeandhavea 50-67% incidence of malignant transforma-tion. Surgery is the treatment of choice.Case Report:Here, wereport thecaseof24-year-old female with chronic urinary retention after surgery for a presacral teratoma.Conclusion:Retroperitoneal pelvic surgery maycause pelvic plexusandnerve injury, leading to permanent bladder dysfunction andurinaryretention.
