Hemşirelik Öğrencileri Açısından İdeal Hemşirelik Eğitimi Konusunda Nitel BirÇalışma: Gerçekteki Boşluklar ve Şoklar
Amaç: Bu araştırmanın amacı bir Sağlık Bilimleri Fakültesi’nde öğrenim gören hemşirelik bölümü öğrencilerinin hemşirelikeğitimine ilişkin öznel deneyimlerini keşfetmek ve ideal hemşirelik eğitimi ile ilgili beklentilerini tanımlamaktır. Gereç Yöntem: Araştırma nitel yaklaşım kullanılarak, fenomenolojik desen ile yürütülmüştür. Araştırmanın örneklemiamaçlı örnekleme yönteminden ölçüt örnekleme ile belirlenmiştir. Araştırmanın verileri yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formueşliğinde yapılan derinlemesine görüşmeler ile toplanmıştır. Görüşme soruları alan yazın doğrultusunda araştırmacılartarafından hazırlanmıştır. Hemşirelik bölümü 3. ve 4. sınıfta öğrenim gören, ders başarısı iyi, orta ve kötü olan 16 öğrenci ilenitel görüşmeler sonrası veri doygunluğuna ulaşılmıştır. Bulgular: Araştırmaya katılan hemşirelik öğrencilerinin ideal hemşirelik eğitimine yönelik söyledikleri ifadelerden üçtemaya ulaşılmıştır. En çok atıf alan Teorik Bilgi Yükü ve Aktarımı (f: 807) teması olmuş, diğerleri sırası ile KlinikteProfesyonel Hemşirelik Uygulamaları (f: 289) ve Gerçekteki Boşluklar ve Şoklardır (f: 174). Eğitimcilerin iletişimbecerilerinin ve sınıf ortamında etkileşimli öğretim yeteneklerinin etkili öğrenmede önemli olduğu bulunmuştur. Klinikteprofesyonel hemşirelik uygulamaları teması altında klinik ortamda olumlu tutuma sahip olmanın öğrencilerin öğrenmekalitesini arttırmada belirleyici olduğu tanımlanmıştır.Sonuç: Gerçekteki boşluklar ve şoklar temasında öğrencilerin eğitimleri sırasında hem teorik hem de pratiğin entegreedilmesini beklediği bulunmuştur.
A Qualitative Study about the Ideal Nursing Education from the Perspective of Nursing Students: Gaps and Shocks in Reality
Objective: The aim of this research was to determine the subjective experiences of nursing students in a faculty of HealthSciences related to nursing education and to define their expectations about ideal nursing education. Materials and Methods: The research was conducted with phenomenological design in qualitative approach and the sampleof the study was chosen with purposive sampling method. The sample of the study consisted of 16 students in the 3rd and 4thgrade of the nursing department with good, medium and bad course success. The data of the study was collected through in depth interviews conducted with a semi-structured interview form. Interview questions were prepared by the researchers inline with the literature. Results: Three themes were reached from the expressions of nursing students who participated in the study about idealnursing education. The most cited was the theme of theoretical burden and transfer of knowledge (f: 807), while others wereprofessional nursing practices (f: 289) and gaps and shocks in reality (f: 174), respectively. It was found that thecommunication skills of the educators and the interactive teaching skills in the classroom were important in effectivelearning. In the content of professional nursing practice theme, it was identified that having a positive attitude in the clinicalsetting was important for improving the quality of learning of the students. Conclusion: It was determined that the students expected both theoretical and practical integration during their education inthe theme of gaps and shocks in reality.
