The role of the interest-free loan (al-Qard al-Hasan) in Treating the Effects of the Epidemic to Achieve Maqasid Al-Shari`ah Using Blockchain

Abstract The world has faced many problems in our lives, especially in times of epidemics and crises such as the Corona pandemic 19, and there are many aspects of our lives that have changed, especially the global economy, and several sectors have been affected by the high rate of inflation and unemployment, so the Al-Qard Al-Hasan is one of the solutions to these Economic problems, and therefore this research aims to explain the role of the Al-Qard Al-Hasan in addressing the effects of the epidemic to achieve the purposes of Islamic law, and to suggest the use of blockchain technology in the Al-Qard Al-Hasan, and how to solve current problعلي ems, especially for Muslims and non-Muslims. The researcher used the inductive, analytical and descriptive approach; Therefore, the importance of the research lies in explaining the role of the good loan in contemporary problems, especially in times of crisis. We also need to take advantage of modern technology to solve economic problems; Therefore, the research aims to explain the definition of Qard Al-Hasan, blockchain technology, the role of the Al-Qard Al-Hasan in the effects of the epidemic and achieving Maqasid Al-Shari`ah of preserving Protection of Faith , Life , Reason, Property and offspring in solving problems in times of crisis, and the researcher suggested using the blockchain technology to activate the good loan. To achieve Maqasid Al-Shari`ah, then the conclusion was with the most important results, including: There are many roles that Qard al-Hasan plays in resolving crises as in the Covid 19 pandemic, with a focus on the importance of using modern technology such as blockchain technology and others in solving crises to achieving Maqasid Al-Shari`ah.
