Effect of temperature on Germanination Characteristics of Consolida orientalis, Isatis tinctoria and Silene armeria native populations

In this study, effects of germination temperatures (5,10, 15, 20, 25 and 30°C) on germination percentage, germination energy, mean germination time, root and stem length in Consolida orientalis [(Gay) Schröd.], Isatis tinctoria (L.) and Silene armeria (L.) native populations were investigated. The germination tests were lasted in /. tinctoria and & armeria seeds for 18 days and C. orientalis seeds for 42 days. Results indicated that no germination was observed in C. orientalis at 20, 25 and 30°C and S. armeria at 5°C^germination temperatures. Germination started in /. tinctoria and & armeria on 3rd day and C. orientalis on 14th day of testing periods and germination percentages reached their maximum values in 5. Armeria and 7. tinctoria: seeds within 6 and C orientalis seeds within 35 days after sowing. The highest germination percentages were recorded for C. orientalis at 10°C (20.0%), I. tinctoria at 15°C (95.3%) and S. ^atm&ria at 20°O(95.6%) germination temperatures.
