Juniperus deltoides R.P.Adams Cupressaceae taksonunun Türkiye’deki durumu

Current status of Juniperus deltoides R.P.Adams Cupressaceae in Turkey

In order to evaluate the situation of Juniperus deltoides R.P. Adams, a newly described taxa from Turkey, samples were collected from 51 population in which J. oxycedrus L. cited from Turkey. Present findings based on the detailed morphological examination and observation were mostly in accordance with morphological features of J. deltoides. Consequently, our results support the view that the distribution of J. oxycedrus restricted in Western Mediterranean France, Spain, Portugal, Algeria & Morocco and J. deltoides in the Eastern Mediterranean region including Anatolia. However, in addition to morphological data, all Turkish materials belong to Adams’ cryptic species J. deltoides should be studied by means both of molecular and chemical properties
