Öz ÖZETGünümüzdeki turizm faaliyetlerinin hedefi, sürdürUlebilir birturizm gerçekleştirmektir. Dünyada turizmi teşvik eden motivasyon kalıplarındaki değişmeler nedeniyle, turizmde yeni ve alternatif turistik ve sportif aktiviteler gündeme gelmiştir. Bu aktivitelerden birisi de çim kayagıdır. Çim kayagı, yılın en az üç mevsiminde yapılabilmesi nedeniyle, sadece bir mevsimde sürdürülebilen kış sporlarına alternatif teşkil etmiştir. Bu spor 1980'1i yıllarda Fransa ve Kuzey Avrupa'da başlamış ve son 17 yılda tüm Dünyaya yayılmıştır. Bu nedenle, Dünyada önemli çim kayağı merkezleri oluşmuştur. Bu durum turistik akışı daetkilemiş, ekoturizm ve sportif amaçlı turizm hareketlerini dehızlandırmıştır. Dünyada meydana gelen bu gelişme, büyük potansiyel taşıyan Türkiye'de henüz tam anlamıyla değerlendirilememiştir. Bununla birlikte, bir Dünya şampiyonasına ev sahipliği yapmış Demirtaş BarajıÇim Kayagı Merkezi, Türkiye için öncü bir rol üstlenmiştir.ABSTRACTThe objective of today's touristic activities is to the realize a sustainable tounsm. Because of the changes in the motivation patterns that encourage tourism, newand altemative touristic and sportive activities have come to the fare. One of theseactivities is grass skiing, which has constituted an altemative to one-season winter sports because it can be done in at least three seasons, except for the winter. This new sport began in France and North Europe in the 1980s, having extended to all the world in the recent 17 years. Therefore, important grass skiing centres have deve10ped all over the world. This recent development has also influenced the tounstic flow and accelerated the ecotourism and sportive tourism mavements. This development in the world has not been evaluated well enough in Turkey though our country is possessed of a high potenhaL However, Grass Skiing Centre of Demirtaş Dam, having hosted a world championship, seems to have undertaken a pioneering role for Turkey.
