PREOPERATİF ANKSİYETENİN TEDAVİSİNDE AKUPUNKTURUN YERİ

Anksiyete tanımlanması zor bir endişe ve korku halidir. Preoperatif hastaların büyük bölümünde anksiyete ve stres mevcuttur. Oluşan bu durum da hem ameliyat öncesi hem sonrasında, istenmeyen etkilere neden olamakta, fizyolojik ve psikolojik patolojileri tetiklemektedir. Ameliyat öncesi yüksek anksiyete düzeylerinin postop mortalite ve morbiditeye etkileri de yüksektir. Bu nedenle ameliyat öncesi anksiyete kontrolü büyük önem taşımaktadır. Bu durumu önlemek amacıyla çeşitli yöntemler kullanılmaktadır. Bu yöntemlerden birisi de etkinliği kanıtlanmış olan akupunktur tedavisidir. Akupunkturun tek başına veya diğer yöntemlerle birlikte kullanımı preop anksiyete tedavisinde yarar sağlayacaktır.

THE ROLE OF ACUPUNCTURE IN THE TREATMENT OF PREOPERATIVE ANXIETY

Anxiety is a state of worry and fear that is difficult to define. Anxiety and stress are present in the majority of preoperative patients. This situation causes undesirable effects both before and after the operation and triggers physiological and psychological pathologies. The effects of high preoperative anxiety levels on postoperative mortality and morbidity are also high. Therefore, preoperative anxiety control is of great importance. Various methods are used to prevent this situation. One of these methods is acupuncture treatment, which has proven effectiveness. The use of acupuncture alone or in combination with other methods will be beneficial in the treatment of preoperative anxiety.
