A Study on Actuarial Premium Account for Fire Insurance with Collective Risk Model
The purpose of this study is to provide a sample application for realistic premium account especially for the customer firms that pay high amounts for fire insurance. In the study, the frequency of fire-induced damage and the amount of damage between the years 2011-2016 of a company operating in the iron and steel sector in Sivas were used as data. While Kolmogorov-Smirnov and Anderson-Darling goodness of fit tests were used as a statistical method, the expected value and standard deviation principles under the collective risk model were used as a method of calculating the premium. As a result of the analysis, it is determined that the frequency of damage data was fit to Poisson distribution and the amount of damage data were found to be consistent with the Exponential, Weibull, Lognormal, Gamma and Reverse Gaussian distributions. As a result of the estimated premium calculation using the collective risk model, it was determined that the distribution which gives the most appropriate amount of premium for the company in question is Weibull distribution. Weibull distribution was followed by lognormal distribution and exponential distribution. The distributions that gave the highest premium account for the company were determined to have gamma and inverse gauss distributions.
