İstiklâl Savaşı komutanlarından olan Kâzım Orbay (1886-1964) Cumhuriyet döneminde de Üçüncü Ordu Müfettişliği, Askerî Şura Üyeliği, Genelkurmay Başkanlığı ve Kurucu Meclis Başkanlığı görevlerinde bulundu. Gerek Kurtuluş Savaşında gerekse onu izleyen devredeki askerî başarıları sebebiyle Atatürk’ün takdir ve sevgisini kazanan orgeneral Orbay’ın -kendi elyazısyla- iki değerli hatırasını ilk defa olarak yayımlıyoruz.

Kazım Orbay (1886-1964), one of the commanders of the war of Independence, served as Inspector General of the Third Army, member of the Military Council, Chairman of the General Staff and Chairman of the Constituent Assembly during the Republican period. We are publishing for the first time the two precious memories of General Orbay, who won Atatürk's appreciation and love for his military achievements both in the war of independence and in the period that followed, in his own handwriting.
