Yatarak Fizyoterapi Alan Hastalarda Fizik Tedavi Uygulamalarının Ağrı, Umutsuzluk, Anksiyete, Depresyon ve Yaşam Kalitesi Üzerine Etkisi

Amaç: Bu çalışma, yatarak fizyoterapi alan hastalarda fizik tedavi uygulamalarının ağrı, umutsuzluk, anksiyete, depresyon ve yaşam kalitesi üzerine etkisini araştırmak için planlandı. Yöntem: Araştırma Samsun İl Sağlık Müdürlüğü’ne bağlı bir devlet hastanesinde fizik tedavi alan, çalışmaya katılmaya gönüllü olan 155 hasta ile yapıldı. Çalışma tanımlayıcı tipte yürütüldü. Veriler; Hasta Anket Formu, Sayısal Ağrı Değerlendirme Ölçeği, Beck Umutsuzluk Ölçeği (BUÖ), Depresyon, Anksiyete, Stres Ölçeği (DASS-21) ve SF-12 Yaşam Kalitesi Ölçeği kullanılarak yüz yüze anket formuyla toplandı. Bulgular: Çalışmaya katılan bireylerin yaş ortalaması 59.33±15.30 bulundu. Cinsiyet grupları ile karşılaştırıldığında ağrı seviyesi ve anksiyete düzeyi kadınlarda daha fazla olduğu, tedaviden memnun olan hastaların ağrı seviyesi, tedaviden memnun olmayan hastalara oranla daha düşük olduğu, inmeli olan hastaların stres düzeylerinin yüksek ve yaşam kalitesi puanlarının düşük olduğu bulundu. Umutsuzluk puanları düşük düzeyde saptandı. BUÖ ve DASS-21 puanları arasında pozitif yönlü orta düzeyde; Fiziksel Bileşen Özet Puanı ile DASS-21 puanları arasında negatif yönlü zayıf düzeyde; Mental Bileşen Özet Puanı ile DASS-21 puanları arasında negatif yönlü orta düzeyde ilişki saptandı. Sonuç: Tedavi alan hastaların fizik tedavi uygulamalarından memnun kaldığı, tedavi alma nedenine göre ağrı, stres seviyelerinin ve yaşam kalitelerinin düşük olduğu belirlendi.

Effects of Physical Therapy Applications on Pain, Hopelessness, Anxiety, Depression and Quality of Life in Inpatients Receiving Physiotherapy

Objective: This study was planned to investigate the effects of physical therapy applications on pain, hopelessness, anxiety, depression and quality of life in inpatients receiving physiotherapy. Methods: The descriptive type study was conducted with 155 patients who received physical therapy in a state hospital affiliated to Samsun Provincial Health Directorate, and volunteered to participate in the study. Data were collected through the face-to-face interview method by administering the Patient Survey Form (Questionnaire), Numerical Pain Rating Scale, Beck Hopelessness Scale (BHS), Depression, Anxiety and Stress Scale (DASS) and SF-12 Quality of Life Scale. Results: The mean age of the individuals participating in the study was 59.33±15.30 years. The comparison of the participants demonstrated that pain and anxiety levels were higher in female participants and their hopelessness scores were low, that patients who were satisfied with the treatment had a lower pain level than did the patients who were not satisfied with the treatment, and that patients with paralysis had higher stress levels and lower quality of life scores. There was a moderate positive correlation between the mean scores obtained from the overall BHS and the DASS, a weak negative correlation between the mean scores obtained from the Physical Component Score subscale of the SF-12 Quality of Life Scale and Depression, Anxiety and Stress Scale, and a moderate negative correlation between the mean scores obtained from the Mental Component Score subscale of the SF-12 Quality of Life Scale and Depression, Anxiety and Stress Scale. Conclusion: It was determined that the patients who received treatment were satisfied with the physical therapy applications, and their pain, stress levels and quality of life were low depending on the reason for the treatment.
