Complementary and Alternative Treatment in Low Back Pain

In the treatment of low back pain, various methods such as physical therapy, drug therapy or surgical intervention are used but effective treatment cannot always be achieved with these methods. Complementary and alternative therapy has an important place in the treatment of low back pain. Nowadays, complementary and alternative treatment for low back pain is becoming more common practice. Complementary and alternative therapies such as hydrotherapy (balneotherapy), yoga, ozone, massage, aromatherapy, meditation, prolotherapy, osteopathy, chiropractic, acupuncture, cupping, homeopathy and reflexology are applied in low back pain and patients are getting positive results from these therapies.
