Tavşan, kobay ve sıçanda testisin şekli, konumu ve testis epididymis ilişkisi

Bu, çalışma tavşan, kobay ve sıçanda testis'lerin karşılaştırmalı olarak incelenmesi amacıyla yapıldı. Araştırmada 5'er adet ergin tavşan (Beyaz Yeni Zelanda), kobay (albino) ve sıçan (Sprague-Dawley) kullanıldı. Her üç türde de testis'lerin iki arka bacağın arasında yer aldığı, kobayda tavşana göre daha cranial'de, sıçanda ise daha caudal'de bulunduğu, yaklaşık aynı hizada olduğu görülen sağ ve sol testis'lerden, soldakine ait hemen bütün sayısal değerlerin sağdakinden fazla olduğu tespit edildi. Oval görünümlü testis'lerin, tavşanda yanlardan basık, kobayda dolgun, sıçanda ise yuvarlağa yakın olarak şekillendiği saptandı. Corpus epididymidis'in tavşanda testis'in ventrolateral'inde, kobay ve sıçanda ise dorsolateral'inde yer aldığı belirlendi. Tavşanda bursa testicularis bulunamadı.

Shape and location of testis in rabbit, guinea pig and rart and its relation with epididymis

The aim of this study was to investigate the testes in rabbit, guinea pig and rat, comparatively. Five mature rabbit (White New Zealand), guinea pig (albino) and rat (Sprague-Dawley) were used in this research. Testes were observed between hind limbs of these three species. They were located more cranially in guinea pig and more caudally in rat than those of rabbit. Left and right testis were situated nearly at the same level. It was concluded that, measurement values of the right testis were generally higher than those of left one. The testes were ovoid in form and compressed from side to side in rabbit, more swollen in guinea pig than that of rabbit and they were nearly round in rat. The body of epididymis was seen ventrolaterally of the testis in rabbit and dorsolaterally in guinea pig and rat. The testicular bursa was not found in rabbit.
