Karacada ( Capreolus capreolus ) metapodium ve capsula ungulae'nin makro anatomik ve morfometrik olarak incelenmesi

Çalışmada, adult karacalara ait 132 adet ön ve arka ayak incelenmiştir. Metacarpus 'un transversal kesitinin fasulye tanesine, metatarsus kesitinin ise ön ve arka kısa kenarları içe doğru kavislenmiş bir dikdörtgene benzediği, her iki kemiğin cavum medullare 'si içinde de, boşluğu ortadan ikiye ayıran sagittal bir kemik yaprağın bulunduğu saptanmıştır. Ön ve arka ayağın palmar ve plantar 'ında yeralan rudimenter tırnakların, asli olanlara çok benzediği, öndekilerin hem birbirine hem de torus corneus 'a daha yakın olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Medial capsula ungulae 'lerin ön ayakta % 66, arka ayakta ise % 60 oranında lateral 'dekilere göre daha uzun olduğu belirlenmiştir.

Macro anatomical and morphometrical investigation on metacarpal,metetarsal bones and hoof in roe deer ( Capreolus capreolus )

A total of 132 fore- and hindfoots which belong to adult roe deers were investigated in this study. The transverse section of the metacarpal bone is bean-shaped and on the other hand the metatarsal bone likes a rectangle that its short anterior and posterior borders are concave. In addition to this, a perpendicular osseous plate was detected in medullary cavity, which divides it into two parts, in both of these bones. The hoof of dew claw s that take part in palmar and plantar aspect of the fore- and hindfoots resemble in the chief hoofs. Dewclaws in the forefoot are more close to each other and torus corneus. The hoof which belong to third chief digit longer than the fourth one. This condition was detected with a rate of 66 % and 60 % in fore- and hindfoot, respectively.
