Bir kedide unilateral hidronfrozis

On bir yaşlı, erkek yerli bir kedideki unilateral hidronefrozis olgusu tanımlandı. Klinik incelemede dehidrasyon, koordinasyon bozukluğu, kaslarda zayıflık, titreme, derin solunum ve abdominal palpasyonda duyarlılık tespit edildi. Vücut ısısı düşüktü. Serum üre nitrojen değeri 337 mg/dl, keratinin 15,2 mg/dl olarak belirlendi. Ortalama eritrosit hacmi (mean corpuscular volume=MCV) ve hematokrit (packed cell volume=PCV) değerlerinde artış kaydedildi. Abdominal ultrasonografi sonucunda sol böbrekte pelvis renalisin genişlemiş olduğu görüldü. Nekropside ve histopatolojik incelemede sol ürelerde göze çarpıcı stenotik lumen ve mukozada fibrozis gözlendi. Sol böbrekte kronik glomerulonefritis dikkati çekti. Sağ böbrek ve ürelerde herhangi bir değişikliğe rastlanmadı.

In this study, unilateral hydronephrosis was described in a 11 year-old domestic male cat. Dehydration, trembling, incoordination, and weakness of the muscle were observed clinically. Hypersensitivity to abdominal palpation and deep respiration were another clinical findings. Body temperature was low. An examination of the blood serum urea nitrogen and creatine were 337 rrig/dl, 15,2 mg/dl, respectively. High values for MCV (65 fl), PCV (52%) were found in the serum biochemical analysis. Hydronephrosis of left the kidney was seen at the abdominal ultrasonography. Marked stenotic lumen and massive fibrosis of the mucosa in the left ureter were observed. In the left kidney, chronic glomerulonephritis was detected. The right kidney and ureter were normal in appearance at necropsy and histological examination.
