Monopolar diatermi uygulamasında oluşabilecek bazı aksaklıklar,hastada "Diatermi Yanığı" denilen tablonun oluşmasına neden olur. Bu çalışmada, diatermi yanığı oluşum mekanizmaları, elektrokoter kullanımında dikkat edilmesi gereken noktalar anlatılmakta ve diatermi yanığı tanısı ile son 3 sene içerisinde A.Ü.T.F Plastik, Rekonstrüktif ve Estetik Cerrahi Anabilim Dalı'na başvurmuş 16 olgunun tedavisi sunulmaktadır.

Diathermy burns

The false steps in monopolar diathermy application causes a situation called the "Diathermy Burns". This paper analyses and discusses the formation of the diathermy burns, the tip points of electrocautery application and the treatment of the 16 patient that consulted to Ankara University Medicine Faculty Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Clinic for the diathermy burns in the last 3 years.
