TÜRKİYE'NİN FARKLI LOKALİTELERİNDEN TOPLANAN ACHILLEA SETACEA WALDST. & KIT.

Uçucu yağların %5'lik konsantrasyonda Proteus vulgaris, Salmonella thphimurium ve Candida albicans'a karşı antimikrobiyal aktiviteye sahip oldukları saptanmıştır

COMPOSITION AND ANTİMİCROBİAL ACTIVITY OF THE ESSENTIAL OILS OF ACHILLEA SETACEA WALDST.&KIT. COLLECTED FROM DIFFERENT LOCALITIES OF TURKEY

Main components of the essential oüs obtained by hydrodistillation from Achillea setacea collected from seven different localities of Turkey were determined by GC and GC/MS analyses and invitro antimicrobial activities of these essential oils were investigated in this study. Majör component of A. setacea collected from Edirne, Tekirdağ, Niğde, Kırşehir, Kırklareli and Burdur was determined as 1,8-cineole (35.4-48.5-34.3-36.7-38.2-42.3%, respectively). A.setacea collected from Sivas consists chamazulene and the majör component was found to be camphor (30.2%). Ali of the essential oils were tested far in vitro antimicrobial activity for 3 gram-positive, 5 gram-negative bacteria and Candida albicans fungus with microdilution method. The essential oils showed antimicrobial activity against Proteus vulgaris, Salmonella thyphimurium and Candida albicans with concentration of 5%.
