Bu çalışmada, nar meyva kabuklarında farmakope analizleri yapılmış ve tanen benzeri bileşikler izole edilmiştir. Flavonoit ve antosiyan miktarı spektrofotometrik olarak bulunmuş ve pektin miktarı da saptanmıştır. Elde edilen sonuçlara göre doğal ve kültür nar meyva kabukları karşılaştırıldığında doğal olanların tanen ve flavonoit yönünden daha zengin olduğu gözlenmiştir

The chemical studies have been carried on the Pericarpium of P. granatum L. Classical pharmacopoeia analyses have been determined. Tannin like compounds have been isolated. The amount of active compounds such as anthocyanins and flavonoids have been determined spectrophotometrically. And also pectin have been analysed quantitatively. As the result of the comparison of naturally growing and cultivated pomegranate fruits peels, it was understood that the tannin and flavonoid constituents of the naturally growing ones are richer than the cultivated ones
