Bu çalışmada, özellikle ülkemizde kullanımı ve imalat teknolojisi yeterli derecede yerleşmemiş olan ve müstahzar olarak bulunmayan efervesan vajinal suppozituvar şeklindeki ilaçların uygun şartlar altında geliştirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bunun için model etken maddeler olarak antiseptik-antibakteriyel etkili benzalkonyum klorür ve klorheksidin hidroklorür seçilmiştir. Bu maddelerin formülasyonlarda kullanılan etkili konsantrasyonları mikrobiyolojik olarak tesbit edilmiştir. Çeşitli yardımcı maddeler değişik oranlarda kullanılarak efervesan vajinal suppozituvarlarda, optimum özellikleri içeren önformülasyonlar geliştirilmiştir. Önformülasyonlar arasından, farmasötik teknolojik kontrol parametreleri en uygun olanı seçilmiş, etken maddelerle yeniden formüle edilmiştir. Ana formülasyonlarm, vajinada kısa sürede efervesan etkiyle uygun erime ve kalıcı köpük oluşturma özellikleri ile farmasötik teknolojik kontrol parametreleri tesbit edilmiştir. Vaginal suppositories, are the dosage forms which are produced in a small scale of technology and not commonly used in our country. In the present study, we aimed to formulate effervescent suppositories for vaginal use which are not commercially available in Turkey. Benzalkonium chloride and chlorhexidine hydrochloride which have antibacterial-antiseptic activities were chosen as the active substances. Effective concentrations of these substances used in formulations have been determined microbiologically.
