Geçen sayıda başladığımız kitap tanıtımı yazılarına bu sayıda orijinal başlığı “Culinary Cultures of the Middle East” olan, Türkçeye “Ortadoğu Mutfak Kültürleri” başlığı ile çevrilen kitap ile devam ediyoruz. Sonraki yıllarda “A Taste of Thyme: Culinary Cultures of the Middle East” başlığı altında tekrar yayımlanmış olsa da, çevri, kitabın ilk baskısı üzerinden yapılmış. Kitap, 1992 yılında Londra Üniversitesi Doğu ve Afrika Araştırmaları Okulu’nun (School of Oriental and African Studies) bünyesindeki Yakın ve Orta Doğu Araştırmaları Merkezi (Center for Near and Middle East Studies) tarafından düzenlenen konferansta sunulan bildirilerin gözden geçirilmiş hallerine yer veriyor.

We continue with the book introduction articles that we started in the last issue, with the original title of “Culinary Cultures of the Middle East”, translated into Turkish with the title of “Ortadoğu Mutfak Kültürleri”. Although the book was republished under the title “A Taste of Thyme: Culinary Cultures of the Middle East” in the following years, the translation was made on the first edition of the book. The book includes revised versions of the papers presented at the conference organized by the Center for Near and Middle East Studies at the University of London School of Oriental and African Studies in 1992.
