Trakeal Aspirat Örneğinden İzole Edilen Nadir Bir Etken: Elizabethkingia Meningoseptica
Bu yazıda yoğun bakım ünitesinde takip edilirken genel durumu kötüleşen, biliyer atrezi tip2 tanılı çocuk hastanın trakeal aspirat kültüründen Elizabethkingia meningoseptica izoleedilmesi anlatılmıştır. Hastanın, bakteri izolasyonu sonrasında antimikrobiyal duyarlılık sonucunagöre tedavisi değiştirilmiş ve genel durumu düzelmiştir.
A Rare Pathogen Isolated from Tracheal Aspirate Culture: Elizabethkingia Meningoseptica
In this paper, we report our isolation of Elizabethkingia meningoseptica as a rare pathogen from the tracheal aspirate culture of a pediatric patient diagnosed with biliary atresia type 2 whose general condition had been deteriorating while under follow-up in our intensive care unit. Following the isolation, her condition improved after her treatment was modified in accordance with the related antimicrobial susceptibility test results.
