Malign Transformasyon Gösteren Dissemine Peritoneal Leiyomiyomatoz

Dissemine peritoneal leiyomiyomatoz nadir bir hastalıktır. Peritoneal kavite boyunca multipl düz kas nodüllerinin varlığı ile karakterizedir. Dissemine maligniteleri taklit edebilir.

Disseminated Peritoneal Leiomyomatosis withMalignant Transformation

Disseminated peritoneal leiomyomatosis is a rare disease characterized by presence of multiple smooth muscle nodules throughout the peritoneal cavity. It may mimic malignancies and may rarely undergo malignant transformation. In this paper, we present a 36-year-old female patient who had been diagnosed with cellular leiomyoma after myomectomy. The patient was diagnosed with leiomyomatosis following the pathological examination of the excised nodules that recurred during the clinical follow-up and with leiomyosarcoma during the subsequent recurrences.
