Türk tekstil sektörünün sorunlar ve çözümü üzerine bazı düşünceler

The textile sector has been driving force in development of the industry all over the world. Generally, the industrialization of a country and becoming an industrial society are significently depend on the textile industry. As the textile sector has began to lose strength, minimizing the damage can be possible by creating brand and selling them at higher prices. So a country, has to posses world-wide fashion designers and brands before leave in wake of textile industry. United Kingdom, France and Italy achive that perfectly. In our country the capacity investments, which are not based on a healthy and necessary feasibility operation, exceed domestic and foreign demand. For this reason, a small fluctuation in the internal and external market factors, or increased competition, cause lossing in the industry by pulling prices down. The textile sector is a laborintensive sector, which cover fiber spinning, weaving, knitting and dyeing-printing operations. Textile sector in Turkey has been affected heavily global crisis which starts in Far East in 1997 and leaped in Russia by August. In world economy, the competition has increased with globalization. Suchs as low costs, high quality and productivity factors have been appeared. In this study, problems in textile sector and appropriate solution suggestions have been assessed

Problems of the Turkish textile sector and some thoughts on the solution
