Çalışma hayatında üretim ve istihdam yapısında yaşanan değişim ve dönüşüm emeğin farklı boyutlarda değerlendirilmesine ve yeni kavramlar çerçevesinde ele alınmasına neden olmuştur. Bu kavramlardan birisi de duygusal emek kavramıdır. Özellikle hizmet sektöründe yaşanan gelişim ve müşteri odaklılığın ön plana çıkması, çalışanların sadece zihinsel ve fiziksel emeklerini değil bunun yanında duyguların da önemi vurgulanmaktadır. Bu araştırmada Türkiye’de hizmet sektöründe çalışan bireylerin cinsiyet yönelimlerinin duygusal emek üzerindeki etkisi araştırılmıştır. Araştırma kapsamında 398 kişiye anket uygulanmıştır. Toplanan veriler IBM SPSS Statistic 26, IBM AMOS 23 paket programları ve R Studio 3.6.2 yazılımı ile gerçekleştirilmiş, veriler analiz edilerek yorumlara yer verilmiştir. Yapılan araştırma sonucunda cinsiyet yönelimlerinin duygusal emek ve alt boyutlarının üzerinde etkili olduğu tespit edilmiştir.

Changes and transformations in the structure of production and employment has led to the evaluation of labor in different dimensions that addresses the issue within the framework of new concepts. One of these concepts is the concept of emotional labor. The development and customer orientation which especially comes forward in the service sector emphasizes the importance of not only the mental and physical labor, but also the emotional labor as well.The impact on the emotional labor of individuals working in the service sector in Turkey has been investigated by gender orientation. A questionnaire was applied to 398 people within the scope of the research. The collected data were carried out with IBM SPSS Statistic 26 IBM AMOS 23 package programs and R Studio 3.6.2 software, the data were analyzed and comments were given. As a result of the research, it has been determined that gender orientations are effective on emotional labor and its subdimensions.
