Yenilenebilir Enerji Kaynakları Kullanımında Çevresel Motivasyonlar ve Ahlaki Normun Rolü: Bilecik Örneği

Günümüzde artan enerji ihtiyacının karşılanmasında yenilenelebilir enerji kaynaklarının kullanımı için toplumsal kabul oldukça önemli bir unsurdur. Bu çalışmada, tüketicilerin sahip oldukları çevresel endişeler, çevre hakkında bilgi ve Yenilenebilir Enerji Kaynakları (YEK) hakkındaki bilgi düzeyleri çerçevesinde fosil yakıtların çevreye verdikleri zararı azaltabilmek için hissettikleri bireysel ahlaki sorumluluğun, yenilenebilir enerji kaynaklarının kullanımına yönelik tutumlarına ve bu amaçla maddi fedakârlıkta bulunarak fazladan ödeme yapma niyetlerine etkilerinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Çalışmada özgecil çevreci davranışları açıklamak için literatürde sıklıkla kullanılan Norm Aktivasyon Teorisi kullanılmıştır. Bilecik ilinde çalışan 337 kamu personelinin katıldığı çalışmada Yapısal Eşitlik Modeli (YEM) kullanılmıştır. Çalışmanın sonucunda, YEK’i kabul etme ve fazladan ödeme isteğinin çevresel endişe, çevre hakkında bilgi, sonuçların farkındalığı ve personal normdan etkilendiği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Buna karşın algılanan tüketici etkinliği, YEK hakkında bilgi sahibi olma, sorumluluk atfetme faktörlerinin YEK’e karşı tutum ve fazladan ödeme niyetinde etkisinin olmadığı görülmüştür.

The Role of Environmental Motivations and the Moral Norm in the Use of Renewable Energy Resources: The Case of Bilecik

Social acceptance is a very important factor for the use of renewable energy sources in meeting the increasing energy need today. In this study, the effects of the individual moral responsibility they feel in order to reduce the damage caused by fossil fuels to the environment, their attitudes towards the use of renewable energy sources and their intention to make extra payments by making financial sacrifices for this purpose, are investigated within the framework of their environmental concerns, knowledge about the environment and their knowledge about renewable energy sources. intended. In the study, Norm Activation Theory, which is frequently used in the literature, was used to explain altruistic environmental behaviors. Structural Equivalence Model was used in the study in which 337 public personnel working in Bilecik province participated. As a result of the study, it was concluded that the willingness to accept RES and pay extra is affected by environmental concern, knowledge about the environment, awareness of the consequences and personal norm. On the other hand, it has been observed that the factors of perceived consumer effectiveness, knowledge about RES, and attribution of responsibility have no effect on attitude towards RES and intention to pay extra.
