INWARD PROCESSING REGIME AS A COMPONENT OF FOREIGN TRADE INCENTIVES: A CASE STUDY OF TURKEY

Öz Despite all the international restrictions, today there is still incentive competition between countries intensively. In this aspect, countries develop and apply for the elements of incentive accordance with the descriptions of incentive of World Trade Organisation. Customs Regime is the most important foreign trade incentive element in the regulation quality. Especially Customs Regime with the effect on economy is very important for customs region in terms of facilitating entry-exit and decreasing transaction cost. Inward Processing Regime with the effect on economy was examined, in this article. In this scope, the results of practising in Turkey were examined and evaluated in terms of practising principles of Inward Processing Regime which lets imports of semi-processed goods and raw materials without subject to measures of trade policy and no customs duty, and the criteria of World Trade Organisation.
