Usage Of The Three Dimensional Imaging Systems In Intraoral Implant Planning

Success of the implant treatments does not depend on only improvements of the implant materials properties. The important facts for success of the implant treatment are planning of the implants according to the available bone features and prosthetic rehabilitation that we plan to do and appropriate surgery to this plan. For this support, using three dimensional imaging systems such as CT, CBCT and MRI in implant planning, provides the accurate insertion of the implants to patient and to do a succeeded prosthese biomechanically, esthetically, phonetically and functionally . Besides, by using the three dimensional datas, streolitographic templates, stereolitographic models and prosthetic frameworks can be produced. The purpose of the this literature review is to give contemporary informations about the usage of the three dimensional imaging systems in intraoral implant planning.
