Klinik olarak sessiz, dev over fibromu: Olgu sunumu
Üst solunum yolu enfeksiyonu nedeniyle son 1 haftadır evde dinlendiği, sadece vitamin kullandığı, kronik bir hastalığının mevcut olmadığı ve evinde fenalaşarak öldüğü bildirilen 41 yaşında kadın olgunun otopsisinde sol over lojunda 22 x 20 x 23 cm ebatlı kitle saptandı. Histopatolojik incelemede kitlede saptanan bulgular over fibromu ile uyumlu bulundu. Uterus ile birlikte 7500 gram tartılan kitle dev over fibromu olarak tanımlandı. Beklenen Meigs sendromu gibi klinik belirtilere neden olmaması ve otopsiden önce tespit edilmemiş olması özelliğinden dolayı bu dev over fibromu olgusu literatürdeki örnekleriyle karşılaştırılarak sunulmuştur.
Silent, giant ovarian fibroma: Case report
The authors describe a case of giant benign ovarian tumor (fibroma) of the left ovary in a 41 year old woman. The case submitted to the Mortuary department of the Council of Forensic Medicine of Turkey for forensic autopsy due to sudden, unexpected death after a history of upper respiratory tract infection. At the autopsy, a tumor measuring 22 X 20 X 23 cm in left ovarian localisation was detected. There was no signs of Meigs syndrome (ascittes and pleural effusion). This clinically silent but giant ovarian fibroma not associated with Meigs syndrome was presented with comparison to similiar case reports in the literature.
