Subungual Exostosis: A Case Report

Subungual ekzostos benign, gelişimi sıklıkla edinsel olan, ayak distal falanks dorsal medial yüzde görülen ağrılı soliter bir tümördür. Subungual osteokondromu önemli kılan, birçok olguda başlangıçta yanlış tanı konmasıdır. Osteokondromanın bir varyantıdır. Çoğunlukla ayak parmaklarında oluşur. En sık olarak da ayak birinci parmağında oluşur. Sol ayak baş parmağında 1 yıldır var olan kitle ve ağrı şikayetiyle başvuran 9 yaşındaki erkek hastada, yapılan radyolojik ve histopatolojik incelemeler sonucu subungual ekzostoz tanısı konuldu. Tümör falanks kortikal yüzeyinden zemini ile birlikte tümüyle çıkarıldı. Hastanın 9 aylık izleminde nüks veya malign transformasyon gözlenmedi. Subungual ekzostozun klinik olarak diğer benign kemik tümörleri ve lezyonları ile epidermoid karsinom gibi malign tümörlerle de karışabileceği unutulmamalıdır. Subungual ekzostozda kesin tanı ve cerrahi tedavi önemlidir.

Subungual Ekzostoz: Olgu Sunumu

Subungual exostosis is an acquired, benign often painful and nearly always solitary bone tumor usually occuring in the dorsal medial aspect of the phalanges. The exact diagnosis is challenging because many cases are initially misdiagnosed. It's a variant of osteochondroma. A 9 year old male patient presented with a progressively enlarging mass and pain that developed över 1 years in the medial aspect of the left first toe. Conventional radiographs and histopathologic findings shovved subungual exostosis. Complete removal of the tumor vvas performed including its base of in the cortex of the phalanx. No reccurence and malign transformation vvas observed during a follow-up of 9 months. İt vvas emphasized that clinical presentation of subungual exostosis may resembie other benign or malignant bone tumors. The exact diagnosis and surgical treatment is the most important for the subungual exostosis.
