Bu çalışmada Aki Kaurismaki’nin Suç ve Ceza (Rikos ja rangaistus, 1983), Hamlet Goes Business (Hamlet liikemaailmassa, 1987) ve Kibritçi Kız (Tulitikkutehtaan tyttö, 1990) adlı uyarlama filmleri, auteur kuram ve minimalist üslup açısından incelenecektir. Bu bağlamda filmlerin analizlerine geçilmeden önce, uyarlama filmlerin tarihsel gelişimi ve bu konudaki tartışmalar, auteur kuram ve sinemada minimalizm konuları ele alınacak, ardından ilgili filmler betimleyici analiz yoluyla değerlendirilecektir.

In this study; Crime and Punishment (Rikos ja rangaistus, 1983), Hamlet Goes Business (Hamlet liikemaailmassa, 1987) and The Match Factory Girl (Tulitikkutehtaan tyttö, 1990), the books adapted into movies by Aki Kaurismaki, will be discussed in terms of the auteur theory and minimalist approach. In this context, before proceeding to the analysis of the movies, such topics as the historical development of film adaptations, the auteur theory and minimalism in cinema will be emphasized, thereafter, the respective movies will be reviewed through constative analysis.
