Treatment of mental nerve paraesthesia caused by the endodontic infection of lower second premolar: A case report

Paraesthesia is caused by nerve tissue injuries and characterized by a sensation of burning, numbness and partial loss of sensitivity. The close relationship between teeth in mandibula and mental nerve and inferior alveoler nerve is the main reason of paraesthesia. In this case presentation, 38 year-old male patient applied with lower lip and chin paraesthesia because of endodontic infection of the second premolar tooth. After the conventional endodontic treatment, the reduction of paraesthesia was observed at 1 and 6 months follow up.
