Bugün Türkiye Türkçesi yazı dili ve ağızları ile bazı çağdaş Türk lehçelerinde aynı anlamda kullanılan biri göster-, diğeri görset- ~ körset- şeklinde olan iki fiil şekliyle karşı- laşılmaktadır. Bunlardan görset- / körset- şekli, bazı dilcilerce göster- / köster- biçiminin göçüşmeli şekli sayılmış; bu da genel bir kanaat oluşturmuştur. Bu çalışmada bunun böyle olmadığı, yani ortada bir fiilin biri asıl, diğeri onun göçüşmeli şekli olmak üzere iki varyantının değil, tam tersine aynı anlamda iki ayrı yapıda fiilin bulunduğu Türk dilinin tarihî ve çağdaş dil verileriyle ortaya konulmuştur. Buna göre, göster- (< köster- < kö-z-ter-) ve görset- / körset- / körsöt- ( < kö-r-ü- z+e-t-) fiilleri, Türk dilinde 13. yüzyıldan beri var olan iki ayrı yapıdaki fiildir. Bugün de çağdaş Türk lehçelerinde kullanım sıklıkları farklılaşmış olarak varlıklarını sürdürmektedirler.

Today, two forms of verbs being used in same meanings which are göster-, and görset- ~ körset- in literary language and some dialects of Turkey Turkish and some contemporary Turkish accents.The form of görset- / körset- have been considered as gö- çüşmeli form of the shape of göster- / köster-; and this has made a general conviction. But in this study it is exhibited with the historical and contemporary language datums of Turkish language that there are not two variants of verbs as one of them is genuine and the other one is the göçüşmeli form of the first.On the contrary, there are two verbs of different structures but same meanings. According to this, göster- (< köster- < kö-z-ter-) and görset- / körse- / körsöt- ( < kö-r-ü-z+e-t-) verbs are of two different structures which have been existing since 13th century in Turkish language.Today they are still maintaining their existence as diversified of usage frequency in contemporary Turkish accents.
