Öz ÖZETBu çalışmamızda farklı iki kültürel çevreden gelen ikiyazar Halit Ziya Uşaklıgil ve lise Tielsch'in iki öyküsünü konu,kişiler, içerik, zaman ve uzam açılanndan karşılaştırdık. Her ikiyazar da öykülerinde, toplumun birey üzerindeki baskısı, kişininkendi kimliğini özgürce seçme hakkının elinden alınması ve çıkarçatışması gibi konuları işlemişlerdir. Uşaklıgil ve Tielsch, butoplumsal gerçekliği kendilerine özgü anlatım şekliyle dilegetirmişlerdir.ABSTACTIn this study, we compared two stories of the writers, HalitZiya Uşaklıgil and Ilse Tielsch, which originates from the different cultures, themes, contents, persons, time and space. Both writers described the pressure of thc socicty on the indiviciual in their stories, ensuring an advantage, taking the right of individuai to vote away of its identity. They stressed how the humansıs for their own advantages eould deal with the others. Uşaklıgii and Tielsch expressed this social reality with their own teııing ways.
