Şizoaffektif bozukluk ve habis over tümörünün tetiklediği Wernicke Korsakoff sendromu

Wernicke korsakoff sendromu; gastrektomi, alkolizm ve habis tümörlere sekonder görülebilen oldukça nadir bir tablodur. Tiamin eksikliği, beyin fonksiyonlarında bozulmaya ve bilinç kaybı ve konvulsiyonlara sebep olabilmektedir.Bu olguda; alkolizm hikayesi olmayan, ileri evre habis over tümörü sebebiyle öpere edilen şizofreni hastasında gelişen ve tiamin tedavisine çok hızlı yanıt veren Wernicke Korsakoff sendromunu literatür eşliğinde sunuyoruz.

A case of Wernicke Korsakoff syndrome with schizoaffective disorder and malign ovarian tumor

Wernicke korsakoff syndrome is a rare disorder, which can be seen secondary to gastrectomy, alcoholism and mating tumors. Tiamine deficiency can cause disorders of brain functions, consciousness loss and convulsions. Here, we presented a case of Wernicke Korsakoff Syndrome in a patient with schizoaffective disorder and undergone an operation for the end stage of malign ovarian tumor. In the history of the patient, there was no alcohol usage. After the operation, the patient developed Wernicke Korsakoff Syndrome and then responsed quickly to the tiamine treatment.
