Etik Liderlik ve Etik İklim Algılamalarının Örgütsel Bağlılığa Etkisi: Kamu ve Özel Sektör Karşılaştırmalı bir uygulama

Etik liderlik ve etik iklim algılamalarının örgütsel bağlılığa etkileri literatürde büyük ilgi görmektedir. Yine de bu ilişkinin nedensellik ve doğası hakkında çeşitli bilimsel ve akademik çalışmalar söz konusu olmasına rağmen, Türkiye üzerine, büyük bir kütle dahilinde yapılmış çalışma sayısının çok olmadığı söylenebilir. Bu çalışma bu kapsamda hem teorik hem de pratik açıdan literatürde bu alanda söz konusu bulunan eksikliğin doldurulmasına yönelik bir katkı yapması beklenmektedir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, anket yöntemi kullanılarak, çalışanların etik lider ve etik iklim algılarının örgütsel bağlılık üzerindeki etkilerini incelemek. Bu amaç doğrultusunda, İstanbul’da söz konusu olan kamu ve özel sektörlerde faaliyeti olan 32 değişik işletmede çalışan 1588 kişiye anket çalışması sonucunda elde edilen veriler çeşitli istatistiksel –uygun nitelikli- analizler ile değerlendirilmiştir. Elde edilen bulgulara göre, Etik liderlik ve etik iklim algıları artan örgütsel bağlılık ve etik liderlik algıları etik iklimi olumlu yönde etkilemektedir.

Effects of Ethical Leadership and Ethical Climate Perceptions on Organizational Commitment: Comparison of Public and Private Sector

The effects of ethical leadership and ethical climate perceptions on organizational commitment attract great attention in the literature. Although various scientific and academic studies on the causality and nature of this relationship appear, it can be said that limited studies carried out with a large sample on Turkey are available in the literature. In this context, this study is expected to make a significant contribution in this field both in theory and practical terms. The aim of this study is to examine the effects of ethical leader and ethical climate perceptions on organizational commitment by using survey method. For this purpose, the data obtained from 1588 individuals working in 32 different companies in various sectors including public and private sectors operating in Istanbul were analyzed with a variety of statistical tests. As a result, it was seen that ethical leadership and ethical climate perceptions increased organizational commitment and ethical leadership perceptions positively affected the ethical climate.
