A MINI REVIEW OF THE STUDIES ON MASSIVE WOOD MATERIALS MACHINING AND SURFACE QUALITY

The purpose of this study was to analyze and evaluate the studies on massive wood materials machining and surface quality. It has been observed that these studies were performed in order to determine optimal wood machining parameters for obtaining the best surface quality on various wood species. A variety of visual techniques and surface roughness measurement methods are used and studied to be developed in order to determine surface quality. Determining the most optimal processing conditions for all wood species used in the wood machining industry will be useful in terms of productivity, quality, and cost and so on.
