Platelet Kaynaklı Büyüme Faktörünün Yapısı, Fonksiyonları ve Gelişim Üzerine Etkileri

Memelilerde kan pulcukları (platelet) ve kanatlılarda trombositler pıhtı oluşumunda görev alan kan hücreleridir. İlk olarak plateletlerden eksprese edildiği için platelet kaynaklı büyüme faktörü olarak adlandırılan PDGF, büyüme faktörleri ailesinin bir üyesidir. PDGF, prenatal ve postnatal dönemde; hücresel proliferasyon, kemotaksis, dokuların şekillenmesi ve yara iyileşmesi gibi birçok görev üstlenmektedir. Dolayısıyla, bu derlemenin amacı, PDGF’nin yapısal özellikleri, fonksiyonları ve gelişim üzerine etkilerinin değerlendirilmesidir
