PERMA Modeline Göre Pozitif Psikoloji Eğitiminin İyi Oluş Üzerine Etkisi

Bu araştırmanın amacı, Pozitif Psikoloji eğitiminin PERMA modeline göre üniversite öğrencilerinin iyi oluşu üzerine olan etkisini incelemektir. Araştırmada, öntest-sontest kontrol grubu olmayan yarı-deneysel desen kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklemi Üsküdar Üniversitesi’nde öğrenim gören ve araştırmaya katılmayı kabul eden 1209 öğrenciden oluşmaktadır. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak PERMA Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada, öğrencilerin PERMA skorlarının ön-ölçüm ve son-ölçümünün karşılaştırılması için Eşleşmiş Örneklem t Testi uygulanmıştır. Ayrıca, cinsiyete göre PERMA alt boyut ve toplam skorlarının karşılaştırılması için Bağımsız Örneklem t testi yapılmıştır. Analizler, verilerin normallik ölçütünü sağlayan çarpıklık ve basıklık değerleri kontrol edildikten sonra SPSS 25.0 üzerinden gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırma bulgularına göre bir dönem boyunca (14 hafta) alınan Pozitif Psikoloji dersi PERMA modeliyle anlamlı ilişkili bulunmuştur. Çalışma üniversite öğrencilerinin hayatlarını iyileştirmek amaçlı, pozitif psikoloji odaklı uygulamanın deneysel bir araştırma ile değerlendirilmesi bakımından önem taşımaktadır.

The Effect of Positive Psychology Education on Well-Being According to the PERMA Model

The aim of this research is to examine the effect of Positive Psychology education on the well-being of university students according to the PERMA model. Quasi Experimental design including pre-post test without control group was used in the study. The sample of the research consists of 1209 students studying at Üsküdar University and agreeing to participate in the research. The PERMA Scale was used as a data collection tool in the study. In the study, the Paired Sample t-Test was applied to compare the pre-test and post-test of students' PERMA scores. In addition, Independent Sample t-test was performed to compare PERMA sub-dimension and total scores by gender. The analyzes were carried out using SPSS 25.0 after controlling the skewness and kurtosis values that provide the normality criterion of the data. According to the research findings, PERMA model and the Positive Psychology course taken during a term (14 weeks) were found as significantly and positively corralated. The study is important in terms of evaluating the positive psychology-oriented practice with an experimental research aimed at improving the lives of university students.
