The possibility of the practice of European rights in Russian politics from the 18th century to the beginning of the 21st century in examined historically. The author characterizes the principles, methods and the maintenance of the basic directions of judicial-legal transformations in the context of the Romano-German legal system and the maintenance of guarantees of citizens’ rights. Primarily the author emphasizes the development and possible refinement of a democratic judicial system for the Russian Federation.
