Finansal Serbestleşme Sonrası Dönem Savunma Harcamalarının Ekonomik Analizi

Uluslararası arenada ülkelerin ekonomik ve siyasal alandaki gücünü belirleyen unsurlardan birisi olan savunma sanayiinde, dünyada yaşanan gelişmelere paralel olarak değişime, yeniliğe ve modernizasyona sürekli olarak ihtiyaç duyulmaktadır. Bununla birlikte yaşanan askeri ve siyasal krizler, bölgesel çatışmalar, artan uluslararası silah ticareti ülkelerin savunma harcamalarını arttırmıştır. Savunma harcamalarının ekonomi üzerine etkileri önemlidir. Bu çalışmanın amacı da savunma harcamalarının ekonomi üzerine etkilerini incelemektir. Çalışmanın sonucunda savunma harcamaları ile büyüme arasında negatif yönlü bir ilişkinin varlığı tespit edilmiştir. Modelde yer alan diğer değişkenler nüfus, modernizasyon ve savunma harcamalarının gecikmeli değeri ise istatiksel olarak anlamlı bulunmuş ve bağımsız değişkeni büyük oranda açıkladıkları sonucuna varılmıştır.

Economic Analysis of Defense Expenditures After Financial Liberalization

In defense industry, which is a key aspect that determines the economical and political force of a country in international arena, it’s been required of change, modernization and change parallel to changes globally. Nonetheless, military and political crisis, regional conflicts and terror has been a cause of increase in defense requirement in all globe. Nevertheless arming of countries strategically causes increase in defense expenditure especially in African and Middle Eastern countries. It is aimed to investigate in this study the relationship between defence expenditures and economic growth for some developing countries
