A Case Report of Revision Surgery with a Double Button Implant After a Rare Tuber Kalkanei Fracture Non-Union
Avulsion fractures of tuberositas calcanei are rarely seen fractures which usually occur after an indirect trauma. Osteoporosis and diabetes mellitus are the risk factors for fractures. These are the fractures which should be treated by early surgical intervention due to possible scar problems. In this article, implant failure in the early period and loss of reduction in the fracture fragment due to problems such as osteoporosis, patient incompatibility (early weight-bearing), inability to apply circular plaster due to wound site problems, which were surgically treated for rupture fractures and fixed with screws. A case who underwent revision surgery with a double button implant is presented.
