RESİMDE MELANKOLİK İMGENİN DUYGULAR TARİHİ AÇISINDAN İNCELENMESİ

Bu makalede, duygunun ne olduğu sorusuna dair bir çeşit kavrayışa dayanan duygular tarihine başvurularak melankolinin resimde hangi imgelerle, imgesel dizilimlerle karşımıza çıktığı, günümüzde bu imgesel kullanımların hala geçerli olup olmadığı problemi ele alınmıştır. Melankoli duygusunun imgeleşme biçimi dönemine göre doğal olarak değişiklik göstermektedir. Ancak sadece değişen resimsel tarzlar üzerinden bu durumu ele almak, türler, dönemler, akımlar üzerinden bir okumaya hızlıca dönüşebilecektir. Oysa değişen sadece türler, biçimler, ele alışlar değil, aynı zamanda duygulardır da. Zamanın duygulanım ruhunun imgeye tezahürü o imge üzerinde nasıl yeni anlamlar üretmektedir? Bu bağlamda yöntem olarak Dürer’in ikonik baskısı Melencolia I’i, pop sürreal türünde çalışmalar yapan Marion Peck’in, Mark Ryden’ın resimleri ve Banksy’nin bir duvar resmi üzerinde durulmuştur. Bu resimlerdeki melankolik duyguyu yaratan dizilim nedir? İmge nedir? gibi sorulara da yanıtlar aranmıştır. Sonuca doğru duyguların kapitalizmle birlikte değişmesiyle resimsel imgeler bundan etkilenmekte midir? sorusu cevaplanmaya çalışılmıştır. Sanat alanını duygular tarihi alanı ile buluşturma amacındaki bu makale, imge okumalarına da yeni bir bakış açısı sunmayı denemektedir.

Examination of Melancholic Image in Painting in terms of the History of Emotions

This paper refers to the History of Emotions which is based on a kind of understanding regarding the question of what the emotion is and examines that melancholy in the painting appears with which images and imaginary strings, and addresses the problem whether these imaginary uses are still valid today or not. The imaginary style of the melancholy emotion naturally differs. However, handling this situation only through this changing pictorial styles can rapidly transform into a reading throughout types, periods, and movements. However, not only change types, styles, and approaches, but emotions change as well. How does the appearance of affectivity spirit of time produce new meanings on the image? In this regard, as the study method, it was emphasized on Durer’s iconic engraving Melencholia I, on drawings of Marion Peck and Mark Ryden, who conduct studies on pop surreal style, and on a wall painting of Banksy. It was looked an answer regarding the questions such as “What is the string that creates the melancholic emotion in these paintings?” “What is image?” and “Through the conclusion, it was tried to answer the question of whether the pictorial images affected from the change of emotions with the change in capitalism?” This paper which aims to bring the area of arts with the area of History of Emotions also tries to present a new perspective on reading images.
