Bu çalışmada Rhaphigaster nebulosa (Poda, 1761)'nın yumurta yapısı ışık ve taramalı elektron mikroskobu ile incelendi. Bir dişi bir yumurta kümesine düzgün sıralı olarak genellikle 14 adet yumurta bırakmaktadır. Gelişimini tamamlayan yumurtalarda operkulum düzgün dairesel şekilde açılırken, Telenomus sp. tarafından parazitlenmiş yumurtalarda ise operkulum gayri muntazam olarak ısınlmış şekilde açılmaktadır. Fıçı şeklindeki yumurtaların koryon yüzeyi düzensiz hekzagonal çukurlarla kaplıdır. T şeklindeki yumurta kırıcısı koyu renkte ve sklerize yapıdadır. Operkulum açılma hattı boyunca dairesel dizilen mikropiller oldukça kısa ve sayıları 22-28 arasındadır.

The eggs of Rhaphigaster nebulosa (Poda, 1761) were observed with light and scanning electron microscopes. Each female generally deposited 14 eggs in a mass. The barrel-shaped eggs are in average 1.41 mm long and 1.16 mm wide. Eggs were golden yellow color at deposition but changed to brown after embriyonic development. The first external evidence of embriyonic development is the apperance of two red eye spots opposite each other beneath the operculum. Some of the eggs were parasited by Telenomus sp. The colour of the eggs with parasites can not initially be distinguished from that of the normal ones, but later on it gets a greyish colour and turns black, getting darker. The egg surface with parasites and normal is covered with irregular hexagonal pits seen by a scanning electron microscope. There is not any aeropyle on the egg surface. Then, a blackish T-shaped egg burster appears between eye spots and assists hatching. The hatching line is cracked in a circular shape around the operculum by egg burster. The operculum of the eggs with parasites, not following the hatching line, are hatched irregularly as bitten by the parasites. They have 22-28 micropylar projections around the hatching line.
