Bu çalışma ile Piezodorus lituratus yumurtalarının yumurta dış morfolojisi ışık ve taramalı elektron mikroskobu ile incelenerek yumurta koryon yapısı detaylı olarak araştırılmıştır.

In this study, iegg-burster, micropylar projections, operculum and chorion morphology of eggs of Piezodorus lituratus were examined with the light and scanning electron microscope (SEM). The barrel shaped eggs are covered with variable shaped polygonal cells. Chorionic spines arise from the surface and connected each other with serous membrane giving the surface polygons. Micropylar projections are fairly long and 29 to 34 in number.
