Manisa yöresi Kültür kekiği üretim alanlarında bulunan Heteroptera takımına ait böcek faunasının belirlenmesini amaçlayan bu çalışma 1998- 1999 yıllarında Salihli ve Turgutlu'daki iki ayrı üretim alanında gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışma sonucunda beş familyaya ait 24 tür tespit edilmiş olup, bunlardan 11 tür fitofag, altı tür zoofag, bir tür zoofitofag özelliktedir. Bunların dışındaki altı türün ise gerek tarla, gerekse saksı denemelerinde Kültür kekiği ile beslenme durumu saptanamadığı için Kültür kekiği tarlalarından tesadüfen toplanmış olabileceği düşünülmüştür. En yoğun yakalanan türler ise Nysius thymi ve N.ericae'dir. Ayrıca C. fenestella, N. cymoides, N. ericae, N. thymi, C. diversicornis, E. pratensis, T. pulchellus ve T. pallidulus un Manisa'da bulundukları ilk kez bu çalışmayla ortaya konulmuştur.

Studies on the determination of Heteroptera fauna on Origanum spp. (Lamiaceae) This study was carried out to determine the Heteroptera fauna of the Origanum spp. in two fields at Turgutlu and Salihli (Manisa) provinces during the years of 1998 and 1999. The specimens were collected weekly intervals by sweeping during april-november. As a result of studies, 24 species were determined belonging to five families of Hetero'ptera. These are Dolycoris baccarum Linnaeus, Eurydema ornatum Linnaeus and Nezara viridula Linnaeus belonging to Pentatomtdae; Liorhyssus hyalinus Fabricius, Stictopleurus pictus Fieber, Corizus hyoscyami Linnaeus, C. fenestella Horvath, Brachycarenus tigrinus Schilling, Rhopalus parumpunctatus Schilling and R. subrufus Gmelin belonging to Rhopalidae; Nysius graminicola Kolenati, N. cymoides Spinola, N. ericae Schilling, N. thymi Wolf and Piocoris erythrocephalus Lepeletier & Serville belonging to Lygaeidae; Nabis pseudoferus Remane and N. punctatus Remane belonging to Nabidae; Campylomma diversicornis Reuter, Exolygus pratensis Linnaeus, Trigonotylus pulchellus Hahn, Taylorilygus pallidulus Blanchard, Macro/op/ı us caliginosus Wagner M. nubilus Herrich & Schaf f er and Deraeocoris seren us Douglas &" Scott belonging to Miridae. They were classified according to their feeding habit. Amongst those N. thymi Wolf and N. ericae Schilling were found as dominant species and C. fenestella, N. cymoides, N. ericae, N. thymi, C. diversicornis, E. pratensis, T. pulchellus and T. pallidulus were found first time from Manisa province.
