İki noktalı kırmızıörümcek Tetrcmychus urticae'nin, laboratuvar koşullarında 25±2$circ$C sıcaklık, % 60±10 orantılı nem 16 saatlik aydınlanma ortamında fasulye, hıyar ve gül yaprakları üzerinde biyolojisi incelenmiş ve yaşam çizelgeleri oluşturulmuştur. T. urticae'nin toplam gelişme dönemlerinin süresi 10.4 gün ile en kısa hıyar üzerinde elde edilirken en uzun 11.2 gün ile gül üzerinde olmuştur. Fasulye üzerinde ise toplam gelişme süresi 10.9 gün sürmüştür. Dişi başına bırakılan toplam yumurta sayısı en yüksek fasulye üzerinde 231.2 adet olurken, hıyar üzerinde 172.4 adet ve gül üzerinde ise 70.8 adet olarak saptanmıştır. T. urticae'nin net üreme gücü (Ro), kalıtsal üreme kapasitesi ($r_m$), ortalama döl süresi (T) değerleri, fasulye üzerinde sırası ile 185.4 dişi/dişi, 0.265 dişi/dişi/ gün ve 23.2 gün; hıyar üzerinde 110.7 dişi/dişi, 0.247 dişi/dişi/gün ve 21.9 gün ve gül üzerinde ise 47.8 dişi/dişi, 0.200 dişi/dişi/gün ve 22.1 gün olarak saptanmıştır.

Biology and life tables of the twospotted spider mite, Tetranychus urticae Koch (Acari:Tetranychidae) were observed on three different host plants (bean, cucumber and rose) at laboratory conditions. Experiments were conducted at 25±2$circ$C, %60±10 RH under 16:8 (L:D) photoperiod. Total development time of T. urticae were determined as 10.9, 10.4 and 11.2 days on the leaves of bean, cucumber and rose respectively. Life tables were constructed on bean, cucumber and rose and intrinsic rate of increase was 0.265, 0.247 and 0.200 female/female/day; net production rate was 185.4, 110.7 and 47.8 female/female; mean generation time was 23.2, 21.9 and 22.1 days respectively. The sex ratio of T. urticae were 0.76, 0.65 and 0.68 [$female/female+male$] on the leaves of bean, cucumber and rose. According to the results bean and cucumber were determined as more suitable hosts respect to rose plant to reproduce and maintain of T. urticae.
