Kuzey Kıbrıs Türk Cumhuriyeti' nde Sabin Feldaman (SF) ve indirekt floresan antikor (IFA) testleri ile sığılarda Toxoplasma gondii' nin seroprevalansı

Sero-prevalance of Toxoplasma gondii by the Sabin-Feldman and indirect flourescent antibody tests in cattle in the Tukish Republic of Northern Cyprus

This study was carried out to detect the prevalence of Toxoplasma gondii in cattle in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. Serum samples obtained from 98 cattle of different regions and age groups were tested for T.gondii antibodies by the Sabin-Feldman and Indirect Flourescent Antibody tests. According to the results of the SF test, 34 animals (34.69%), and according to the results of the IFA test 30 (30.61%) animals were found to be seropositive. Statistical evaluations showed that the results of the two tests were in agreement with each other.
