A new phenotype in the phosphoglucomutase 1 (PGM1) system, PGM1 W32

Red cell phosphoglucomutase 1 (PGMl) enzyme, which is a phosphotransferase, has 3 common and 31 rare phenotypes. In this study, we have identified a new phe-notype for this enzyme which has not been reported previously using cellulose acetateelectrophoresis technique. This phenotype has also been identified for the first time for Turkish population and called PGMl*W32.
