Bu çalışmanın amacı, Fen Bilimleri (FB) öğretmen adaylarının Ay ve Güneş tutulması konusuna ilişkin teknolojik pedagojik alan bilgilerini belirlemektir. Bu çalışmaya, 2013–2014 eğitim ve öğretim yılında Fırat Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi İlköğretim Bölümü Fen Bilgisi Öğretmenliği programı son sınıfta öğrenim gören 37 (31 Kız ve 6 Erkek) FB öğretmen adayı katılmıştır. FB öğretmen adaylarının Ay ve Güneş tutulması konusu kapsamındaki teknolojik pedagojik alan bilgilerini belirlemek için bireysel yarı-yapılandırılmış mülakatlar kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda, FB öğretmen adaylarının Ay ve Güneş tutulması konusuna ilişkin teknolojik pedagojik alan bilgilerinin oldukça yetersiz olduğu görülmüştür.

The purpose of this study is to explore the pre-service science teachers’ (PST’) Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) involving the topic of Lunar and Solar eclipses. The study group consisted of 37 (31 females and 6 males) PSTs who were fourth (final) year of their undergraduate degree in the Department of Science Education Program in 2013-2014. The semi-structured individual interviews were used to define the PSTs’ TPACK in the topic of Lunar and Solar eclipses. The results showed that the PSTs’ TPACK was inadequate in the topic of Lunar and Solar eclipses.
